Our client, an established Australian engineering and infrastructure business, is seeking multiple Roadside Maintenance Labourers for a major Service Stream project across the Monash Freeway corridor, from South East Melbourne through to Pakenham. This project is expected to run for approximately 8 to 9 weeks. The work will involve spray painting roadside noise wall panels to cover graffiti and pressure washing clear noise wall panels.

This is physical outdoor work involving approximately 10 hour shifts, plus around 2 hours of travel each day. Candidates must be reliable, physically capable and available for the full project duration.
This is not a qualified painter position. Previous spray painting or pressure washing experience will be beneficial, however the main requirements are reliability, physical fitness, coordination and confidence using handheld equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Spray painting roadside noise wall panels to cover graffiti
• Operating spray painting equipment safely
• Operating water blasting and pressure cleaning equipment
• Cleaning clear roadside noise wall panels
• Assisting with general roadside maintenance activities
• Setting up and packing down equipment and materials
• Loading, unloading and moving equipment when required
• Working safely around active road infrastructure
• Completing repetitive physical work across extended shifts

Skills and Experience

• Physically fit and capable of completing approximately 10 hour shifts
• Confident using handheld equipment or capable of learning quickly
• Reliable and available for the full project duration
• Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
• Willing to work weekend overtime when required
• Comfortable completing repetitive physical work
• Valid Australian work rights

Previous experience in civil labouring, road maintenance, graffiti removal, pressure washing, industrial cleaning, commercial cleaning, spray painting, landscaping, construction labouring or infrastructure maintenance will be highly regarded. The expected daily meeting point will be Todd Road Service Centre, Southbound. Candidates must be able to attend the designated meeting location reliably each day. Workers will need to supply suitable work boots, high visibility clothing and a sun hat. Additional required project PPE will be provided by G & G Engineering.
