The role:
• Dismantle, inspect, rebuild and test pumps and rotating equipment
• Diagnose mechanical faults, assess equipment condition and identify failure modes
• Measure and set critical clearances, tolerances, shaft run out and alignment requirements
• Replace and install bearings, mechanical seals, gaskets and ancillary components
• Carry out precision fitting, controlled assembly, machining and rebuild work
• Complete laser alignment, balancing, pressure testing and functional checks
• Record inspection findings, measurements, test results and rebuild documentation accurately
About you:
• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Strong experience working on pumps or rotating equipment (not essential)
• Confident working to tight tolerances and critical clearances
• Strong understanding of bearings, mechanical seals, shaft alignment, fits and tolerances
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, OEM manuals and technical documentation
• Methodical, safety focused and highly attentive to detail
