We are seeking an experienced Crew Leader
to take charge of day-to-day operations, supervise on-site teams, manage resources, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision & Guidance
Lead and mentor a crew of construction workers, ensuring clear direction, effective task execution, and strong team performance. - Task Management & Planning
Plan, organise, and assign daily tasks to team members, ensuring alignment with project time lines and productivity targets. - Team Development
Mentor and coach staff, supporting their growth and development while building a cohesive and capable team. - Quality Control
Monitor all work to ensure it meets company and industry standards. Identify issues early and implement corrective actions. - Safety Management
Promote a safety-first culture by conducting safety briefings, ensuring compliance with WHS practices, and maintaining a hazard-free work environment. - Communication & Collaboration
Liaise with supervisors, project managers, and subcontractors to report progress, flag concerns, and ensure project alignment. - Resource Allocation
Manage site resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment. Coordinate deliveries and maintain efficient use of tools and supplies. - Problem Solving
Proactively address site issues to prevent delays, ensure work continuity, and support effective decision-making. - Equipment Operation
(If applicable)
Operate and maintain construction equipment as required, ensuring safety and functionality.
- Leadership & Supervision
Proven experience leading site teams, assigning tasks, and motivating staff to deliver strong outcomes. - Communication
Confident communicator able to engage with diverse teams, clients, and management, both verbally and in writing. - Organisational Skills
Ability to manage workloads, schedule work efficiently, and track project progress.
*Experience with AroFlo or similar job management systems is highly desirable. - Problem-Solving
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly on-site. - Safety Awareness
Thorough understanding of safety protocols and the ability to enforce site safety standards consistently. - Technical Expertise
(Desirable)
Trade background or working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, or plumbing practices is an advantage.
