Duties

• Service, maintain, and repair overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment
• Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
• Attend reactive breakdowns and complete mechanical repairs on site
• Complete load rope, hook, sheave, wheel, and gearbox repairs or replacements
• Perform air hoist and pneumatic hoist repairs
• Assist with general hoist overhauls, including motor and gearbox rebuilds
• Support installation work on overhead cranes and hoists, depending on skill level
• Complete job cards, service reports, and required documentation
• Represent the business professionally on customer sites
• Work across a wide range of industrial environments, with no two jobs the same

About you

• Mechanical trade background as a fitter, mechanic, maintenance fitter, or similar
• Experience in industrial maintenance, field service, or a related mechanical environment
• Strong mechanical fault finding ability and confidence working independently
• Safety first attitude and pride in workmanship
• Good communication skills and professional presentation on site
• Current driver’s licence
• Experience with cranes, hoists, lifting equipment, gearboxes, motors, or heavy mechanical systems will be highly regarded
• Physically capable and comfortable working across varied industrial sites
